Friends of the City by the Bay, this is not a "good-bye" but a "see you later". Levi's® Workshops will be taking a month off to travel east and prepare for our next adventure. Look for us this coming October in New York City as we prepare to open a photo studio in the heart of the city that never sleeps.
It has been a pleasure getting inky, getting typed, and to get stamped and screened with all of you. San Francisco has our hearts, but our bodies must go. There are more hungry workers with creative souls to feed. Until next time.
We've had a lot of fun working on the community projects of the community at large during our open studio hours. From bandana champion Ben Ramirez's North Beach poster, to Jasper's meticulously carved lino blocks, to the art of Gato, to softball t-shirts for Hamm's Angels…And of course band posters for windmilling guitarists…
All of us have produced a ton of art together in just two months. And we hope that, at the very least, we've given you a taste for making things, or reawakened a long-dormant creative urge.
Just don’t start bugging him about getting the band back together.
The man in charge of producing danceable jams at the Adam Werbach/Green For All event next week is none other than Bob Mould, formerly of now-defunct pioneering rock organization Hüsker Dü. Mould will be spinning while we officially roll out both the new Green For All campaign (done in conjunction with our beloved comrades the Post Family) and Adam Werbach's Extinction/Adaptation letterpress book project.
Stop by our blog to learn more about Mr. Mould.
